How we are governed
The association is governed by its statute and by a voluntary Administrative Committee elected by the General Assembly of members. The Committee — comprising a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and members — meets regularly, records minutes of its decisions, and reports to the General Assembly at least once a year.
- No member of the Committee receives remuneration for their role.
- All income is applied exclusively to the association's charitable objectives; no surplus is ever distributed to members.
- Annual accounts are prepared, presented to the General Assembly and retained in accordance with Cypriot law on associations and foundations.
- Conflicts of interest must be declared and the member concerned abstains from the relevant decision.
Safeguarding & equal treatment
Beneficiaries are supported without discrimination on grounds of national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability or status. Personal information shared with our volunteers is treated as confidential and handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Concerns about conduct may be raised directly with the Committee at info@refugeehelpcyprus.org.
Verification requests
Reviewers from grant programmes, donor platforms and partner institutions are welcome to contact us for registration documents, the association's statute, or written confirmation of our non-profit status. We respond to verification requests within five working days.
